European Accessibility Act: red tape vs real world change
Tuesday 29 July 2025, 5:30pm to 6:30pm UTC+1
With the introduction of the European Accessibility Act 2025, there’s been a lot of talk about accessibility, and WCAG. But what does the Act mean for content professionals, and how can we make sure everything we write is accessible to everyone?
This talk will give insights into what the new Act means for businesses and freelancers, weighing up the compliance requirements with the real-world practical application of accessibility principles like WCAG.
Michelle and Ellen will share practical information about the changes you could - and should - make to your websites to make them accessible, and how to work closely with developers, strategists and other stakeholders to ensure accessibility is always a given.
